✦ a creative community for women in Goa
A community space to get together, craft, meet like-minded people and slow down together.
I've been crocheting for over a year now, and somewhere along the way it became one of my favourite ways to slow down. There's something really satisfying about creating something with your own hands from scratch and watching an idea turn into something you can actually hold.
I taught my best friend, then my sister, and eventually started wondering what it would be like to bring more people together around creative activities like this.
Finding your people in Goa can be surprisingly hard. So when I hosted the first Sage Space workshop at my house and saw how naturally everyone connected, I knew this was something worth continuing.
Sage Space isn't really about crochet. Crochet just happened to be the thing that started it.
It's simply a space for women to come together, make something creative, meet new people, and spend a few slow hours away from screens and everyday life. Hopefully leaving feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.
Whether that's through crochet, painting, journaling, pottery, or something else entirely, the heart of it stays the same.

CROCHET & CHILL — NORTH GOA
hosted by Sejal Luthra 📍 Pink Elephant Home, Assagao, North Goa16 women showed up to a three-hour beginner crochet workshop and left with a drawstring pouch they made themselves. In between figuring out slip knots and chain stitches, the conversation went exactly where it always does — how hard it is to find your people in Goa, whether South Goa is actually better than North, why everyone seems to be moving from Bombay, and when the monsoons are finally going to show up. Over tarts and cupcakes, strangers became slightly less strange. That's kind of the whole point.
CROCHET & CHILL
hosted by Sejal Luthra 📍 Sage Space, South GoaI've been crocheting for more than a year now. What started as a hobby became a bonding activity — I taught my best friend, then my sister, and then wanted to share it with more women craving creative time. This was the first one. Hopefully not the last.
COMMUNITY BUILDING CIRCLE
hosted by Shivangi Puri 📍 Sola Luna Yoga Studio, Benaulim, South GoaShivangi is a social worker based in Mumbai — a trauma-informed restorative practices practitioner who spent two years doing circles with children in difficult situations. She brought that same intention here, creating a space for people to build real, meaningful connections.
Drop your details and I'll reach out when something new is coming up — based on where you are in Goa.
